Responsibilities:
Currently we are seeking a Business Development Manager to help us take our fast growing hospitality business to the next level. Symmons is a fast-paced, high growth, high energy company with a friendly work environment. Our products and services are marketed to hotel owners, architects and designers through our nationwide specialty sales force. This high profile role is critical for the future success of the hospitality business.
The Manager of Business Development is responsible for developing and leveraging our business opportunities with the major hotel chains across the country.
Key responsibilities/personality traits include:
- Leverage existing and new relationships with the major hotel chains to identify and close business opportunities
- Apply knowledge of clients' business and propose value-driven solutions
- Use best practices in account relationship management

- executive relationship development
- Demonstrate superior leadership skills
- Work collaboratively across the entire organization serving as the business champion for the major hotel brands
- Utilize Symmons sales force automation system for CRM, activity tracking and opportunity forecasting
Experience:
- 3+ years in Hospitality product/services related sales with an emphasis on the major chains
- Established sales leader with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- History of establishing, expanding and closing complex deals
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make compelling presentations to a diverse audience
- Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills
- Up to 50% travel
