Main Responsibilities

  • Proactively develop targeted ownership groups / using brand specific programs and promotions to drive relationships, Symmons specifications, projects, revenue and profitability
  • Actively develop effective personal relationships with a broad base of key decision makers within the ownership groups identified within the specific region and their critical influencing associated partners
  • Manage Symmons products as it relates to customer offering, writing specifications and other detail set up and maintenance information
  • Manage operational relationship with key hospitality customers by providing detailed sku information as necessary, project tracking and reporting on key operational metrics
  • Able to identify and quantify market opportunities, prioritized relative to other potential opportunities and ability to implement at a regional level and communicate execution plans accordingly
  • Proactively discover customer’s perceived and unperceived needs and implement appropriate value-driven solutions
  • Work towards developing service related programs with the identified ownership accounts that will promote and foster long-term perpetuated business (buying agreements, rebate programs, service commitments)
  • Work with and build cross-functional sales associates relationships to properly communicate business opportunities on local, regional and national basis when necessary
  • Plan and budget specific customer entertainment events designed to develop and grow the Symmons presence and business relationship with the targeted account. (Customer visits to Symmons facilities, Sporting events, outings)
  • Work within team structure to inform and communicate strategy of customer initiatives
  • Responsible for development of key regional relationships within hospitality and other key business segments defined by Symmons

Qualified candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related area required
  • 5+ years in Hospitality product/services related sales with an emphasis on the major brands / ownership groups and key industry associations
  • Experience with key plumbing customers preferred, similar customers required
  • High-level customer relationship building skills
  • The ideal candidate must be self-directed, results oriented, have an established background in relationship building and have strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation a must
  • Knowledge of wholesale segment of bath and kitchen industry preferred
  • Excellent Planning and analysis skills
  • Strong computer skills required; proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft Outlook a must as well as experience with data warehouse sales reporting systems
  • Demonstrated selling skills required
  • Excellent high-level written and verbal communication skills required
  • 75% Travel to key accounts regionally
