Water Efficiency Update

Flow Rate Cross-Chart

New water efficiency standards have been implemented in many US states and municipalities, which establish new lower flow rate limits for plumbing products.

To align with these new requirements, Symmons® will be adjusting the standard maximum flow rate of its showerheads, kitchen faucets, lavatory faucets, and public space lavatory faucets in phases, beginning in July of 2022.

The following chart provides examples of how the product number/SKU will change to reflect the new flow rates:
Historically, the base SKU for Symmons showerheads or faucets represents the highest flow rate available, and variants of that flow rate are added as suffixes. The base SKUs for these items will be shipped with the following flow rates:

• 2.0 gpm maximum on showerheads (effective July 1, 2022)
• 1.5 gpm maximum on kitchen faucets (effective January 1, 2023)
• 1.0 gpm maximum on lavatory faucets (effective January 1, 2023)
• 0.5 gpm maximum on public lavatory faucets (effective July 1, 2022)
